    Calling another Meeting
    //Private//
To: Father Peter, Gregory Prather, Emily Prather, Kevin Blackthorn,

If you can, please meet me in room 1053 in two hours.  This is very important. I'm going to see if I can find you in case you don't read this in time.

(six ours after roll call post)

I'd like to try and organize a morning check system.  I'd like to know if anyone would object.  The idea is a volunteer on each deck go around in the morning and knock on the doors of occupied rooms, an informal roll call.  You can just give a yell if you don't want to open the door, or if you leave early leave a blank post it on your door.  I don't think anyone is trying to keep tabs on what you do.  But it might be nice to know people are going to check on you and make sure you're alright  still there in the morning.

    Private to Lisa

I don't know if Chelsea's talked to you yet, but I really suggest you take your things and move into her suite with her. (Only because it's accessable to her, otherwise I'd have her move in with you, where I'd have an easier time watching over all of you.)

With people going missing having another keep an eye on you might be help.  If nothing else it should make everyone <s>including me</s> find it easier to sleep knowing there's 'back up' present.

Shipwide, open to all Passangers and Staff
In light of the recent news of the medical staff as well as the prior known missing, I'm trying to take a private listing of all present passangers and crew.  I realize not everyone will respond, as this is completely unofficial and voluntary, but someone should keep track.

If you read this, please respond with your name, room number and the names of anyone traveling with you.

P.S. Ms. Ashby had an excellent idea. If anyone would care to add any skills they have in a post script, please do. From child care to welder. If you can do anything you think might be helpful should it ever be needed, let us know. Hell, at this point the Chef would be happy to know who here can cook enough not to start a fire.

    Handwritten Journal

I really dislike costume parties.   But Molly insisted.  She even brought my range coat.  Brat.  It was uncomfortable to say the least.  Mol's costume was certainly colorful, and suited any character named Delerium.  I felt like I was stoned just looking at her.  Her friend Savannah, whom I finaly met, was dressed as Marilyn Monroe.  A bit thin for the part, but the outfit was spot on, and she had the walk down pat.  She wanted a dance, as I had been warned.    Her other friend, Lisa, was disconcerting.  She dressed as a cheerleader.  The last costume party I attended was that halloween where Ashanti and I went as cheerleader and quarterback.  It was a minor punch to the gut.

After that Molly held up her bargin and we went to the Jazz club.  It was okay, helped unwind a bit.  Lax trumpeter, though.  Kevin, the head chef onboard whom seems alright, took over.  It was pretty funny.  But with all the top of the line service and staff how did a bad trumpeter get into the jazz club?  Covering for someone sick or connected enough to get a job.  Have to look into that possible lead.  Molly wants to show her portfolio to some people tomorrow.  She’s got it for that offer in Miami, might as well show it around.

    Well that was interesting
    Handwritten Journal:

Roaring 20s certainly had a temporary roar.  If you call a screaming match a roar.  My heart almost stopped when I saw Molly get herself involved for a moment.  Damn kid doesn't always register when it's safe to approach people.  The man and woman got physical (she did first, and he didn't hit) and almost fell over a woman in a wheelchair who looked likely to castrate the jackass who half pushed the other woman into her.

    Day Two

    Handwritten journal:

Power outage while we were sleeping last night.  Evidently it was system-wide.  I suppose a new ship is allowed to have some glitches, but that sounds a bit extreme.  Navigation, GPS, communications… everything on these things run off the electricity.  Isn’t there a back up system?  Maybe it’s just running for the bridge.  Got to see if they allow tours up there.

Geeks might have had twitches.  Even wifi would have been down for those with laptops.

They do have an excellent gym here, and a jogging track.  Had a good workout, anyway.

I’m gonna insist Molly check out the spa.  She doesn’t get any real pampering.  Women like getting glop on their faces and nails done.  Can’t see her wanting anyone touching her hair.  Still.

She wants to go to this roaring twenties party.  Brought a vintage dress and everything.  Lucky for me a suit’s a suit.  Jake would laugh his ass off if he hears about this.  That’s why you never bring your partner on vacations.  With any luck Molly won’t remember the party thing until tomorrow.

Damnit, should never think like that.  I’ll put in some extra Hail Mary’s tonight.

Hope she remembers every damn second of this trip.

    Day 1
    Handwritten journal:

I checked up on the Nausicaä and its start-up cruise line. On paper everything looks good. On paper Ted Bundy looked like a stand-up citizen. This ship is a many multi-million dollar behemoth. There are records of the company starting on a second ship, but nothing seems to be concrete or confirmed. No one’s talking. Company secrecy or more? It looks legitimate enough. I dug around to make sure this free vacation deal wasn’t some sort of scam. The only product being presented is the cruise line and the ship. I’ll keep my eye out anyway.

Molly’s so excited she’s vibrating. She actually shook when we left the apartment. I just hope this thing lives up to its promises.

She’s over the moon about her room. It’s practically made for her. I caught her feeling up one of the mosaics. Evidently it feels happy.

My own room is very nice. Especially when you’re used to rat-traps with lumpy mattresses. The décor is a bit eerie. Nice, professionally decorated, no doubt. But the goddess of Justice is the motif. Weighing rights and wrongs all over. Someone might have decided to put me in here as a joke if they learned my job. Not like it’s a secret.

Jake’s checking out the individuals listed on the line’s board of directors for me. What are partners for? It’s gonna take a few days to dig on the side, especially with his official caseload as it is. He bitched about it being the holidays and all. Like crime cares.

But then it isn’t like I’m not armed. Mol found me packing my cuffs and told me they’d better be for kink and not work. Kid has a mouth on her.
